| TM, my fine
arts advisor, was taking our class on a
fieldtrip. There was also a lady [wearing white]
who was along for the ride because she knew the
place we were going to go to. She started out
giving directions from the passenger seat... TM
was driving. As we drove down the hill, we missed
the turn off and she switched places so she could
just drive. We drove down a little bit more and
then she made a u-turn... coming VERY close to
the edge of the road... beyond which was a steep
drop-off.
We headed back up the hill [passing the wrong
turnoff that we had made] and turning left on a
driveway-type dirt road that suddenly sloped up
at an alarming degree.
As our forward momentum slowed near, I had the
sudden fear that the road didn't even continue...
it just dead-ended in a dirt wall... and that
we'd slide dangerously back and wreck. It was hen
that I voiced that I didn't think we should go
that route.
The dream jumped and we were suddenly at the
top. There were a couple buildings up there and
students were walking around with bicycles... I
guess there were some trails up there. If there
were ways for them to get up there, there had to
be a safer way to get back when the trip was
over.
So we were walking around... the guide lady
had disappeared... and all I could think about
was how we were going to get back safely...
...and my alarm woke me up.
