| I
was sitting in the back yard of one of my houses
[the first one we rented in KY before building].
IRL, the back yard was very steep and not good
for much. In the dream, it was bigger and
flattened out. I was leaning against the house
under the deck [which went up the the main
floor]. My puppies were outside playing chase as
they normally do... though, at this time IRL, we
didn't have dogs yet. Suddenly,
there was a sheep in the yard. Shadow [being part
Boarder Collie] went to chase [uh... I mean
"herd"] it and, instead, ran for his
life back in my direction... with the sheep
following. Shadow [still a pup in the dream]
ducked behind my back and I lifted my feet up at
the sheep. The sheep head-butted my feet, which
sent it back on its rump. After a while, the
sheep went back to grazing.
Carmel thought she'd give it a
try [which is strange because she's a bird dog...
English Setter mix] and had the exact same
result. Shadow tried once more and, again, I kept
the sheep from trampling him.
That dream faded into::
My family [minus my brother], a
couple strangers, and I were traveling up in the
mountains. Everyone had heavy packs and it seemed
we were in a hurry... that there was a reason we
were traveling and our lives could depend on not
being found. There was snow on the ground and we
had been traveling all day. We were completely
exhausted.
By dusk, we finally reached a
small ledge on the mountain and everyone
collapsed. To the left was a hole in the rock
about 2' high and 3' wide... a cave entrance. I
had a long walking stick and tapped it against
the rock. Four or five wolves came out and piled
around the group on the ground.
I took a look inside the cave
and was happy to see that it was the size of a
decently sized living room... and it was warm.
There were also another ten or so wolves curled
up asleep.
I told everyone to go inside
and get between the wolves for warmth. Everyone
was so exhausted that they didn't want to move at
first. I started taking their packs and putting
them along the walls inside. The wolves outside
came in and, with the warmth of their bodies
gone, the people began to crawl into the cave.
Finally everyone was inside. There were two or
three more packs outside so I brought them in and
piled them with the rest. Once inside, I knew
we'd be safe and get a good night's rest.
Then I woke up.
