| It was night
and my sister and I were in our room [though no
room I've ever seen before]. We were getting
ready for bed when I heard the sounds of gun fire
outside. There was a huge window that overlooked
the back yard and, in the sky above, we could see
a handful of jet planes dogfighting... only...
instead of mounted machine guns and missils, they
used single-fire shotguns. The bullets would
miss and fall into the yard. They were about
three inches long and some had a flashing red
light. A couple times, I'd watch as one would fly
toward the window. I'd push my sister out of the
way and it bounced off my shoulder or stomach or
leg... it happened a few times.
The planes finally left and I went out back to
pick up the bullets. They were warm... some
misshapen from hitting something... some still
straight. My brother picked up one with a
flashing red light. I told him to put it down
quickly... it may explode. He laughed and threw
it down to the ground, where it made a sound like
a cap gun going off. He picked it up again and
tapped the tip on the ground again and again,
each time it simply made the sound of a cap
exploding.
End.
