The high school: My brother and I went to the same school my senior year. He was a couple grades below me.

DA: The guidance councellor my senior year. He also taught the history, economics, government, and health classes. He was always trying to start conversations with me so I did my best to avoid him whenever I could.

Gambit: One of my favorite Marvel comic characters. At the time of this dream, I was collecting a mini-series that ran for four books.

Escape From High School
09-06-1997
My brother and I were back at the high school I graduated from in 1996. We were supposed to be in class but had decided to skip out for the day. However, we became separated and, as I was trying to find him, I found a place inside the school that sold magazines and comic books. DA was trying to find us and I crouched down as he passed by a window.

While I was crouched down, I noticed they had number 4 of 4 in the Gambit series I was collecting. So far, I'd only bought 1/4 and I asked the guy at the counter if they had any of the other books in the series. He said no.

Just then, DA passed by the shop window again and looked in. I made a break for it.

Blackout.

It was a warm and sunny day and my brother and I were on a huge, hilly, green lawn. I was reminded of the college lawn for a moment [which was just down the road from the high school] but this lawn was more like a wide-open field and less like a lawn.

Anyway, we were just walking... enjoying the day. Suddenly, DA appeared and said that we had to go back to the school. We both knew we would get in trouble for being truant but, for some reason, it didn't seem like a big deal. He started escorting us back and, as we walked, my brother and I began tumbling around in the grass like elementary children. I tried to walk on my hands for a while... my brother was doing cartwheels.

A guy came over one of the hills on a big riding mower and we moved out of his way. We kept walking and walking and I couldn't see the end of the lawn... but, again, I really didn't care. I was happy just walking.

End.
