Clarifications
Kentucky: At the time of this dream, we'd just moved there.

DA: The guidance councellor my senior year. He also taught the history, economics, government, and health classes. He was always trying to start conversations with me so I did my best to avoid him whenever I could.

My knee: I injured my knee in sixth grade and that was when it was discovered I had Osgood-Schlatters. Because of this, my knee can get very tender when overworked... or if the weather's changing. *bleah*

I was in some kind of assembly at the high school I graduated from. The assembly was like a large show-and-tell that was being recorded for television. The first speaker was from Kentucky and he held up a gold medal he had recieved. He showed it around and then handed it to me to pass around. I returned to my seat on the front row and, not soon thereafter, the medal returned to my hands. By this time, I couldn't remember what the guy had looked like so I let the girl sitting next to me look at it. The guy noticed the medal had made the rounds and approached to reclaim it. The girl handed it to me and I gave it back to him.

Blackout.

We weren't at the school anymore and I was in a smaller group... once again, sitting on the front row. The meeting was taking place in a basement room and the subject of discussion was whether we believed animals experienced feelings. Of course, I said yes. About this time, I noticed some people I knew were in the group... including the guy in charge... DA. Someone brought out two or three cats and they meandered around the group. Two of them finally came to rest in my lap, and stayed contentedly purring, for the rest of the discussion. DA looked interested that the cats wanted to stay with me and no one else.

Blackout.

I think I was in the same group... only later, and it was smaller than before. Everyone was writing or drawing on the floor... I'm not sure what. I noticed my mother arrived to pick me up but, as I stood, my knee fritzed out. A gasp escaped my lips... having already been sore from working out in the yard the day before [in waking life]. DA looked worried and asked my mother what the matter was and she quickly explained about my bad knee as I gathered my things.

Blackout.

A girl and I were the only ones left in the room, and were cleaning up our stuff. I think it was the same girl that was sitting next to me at the beginning. We were talking a little and noticed a large purple glob. I think it represented my mother's waterbed, because we had drained it the other night... and it's big and purple.

We went over to the blob and examined it. If you touched or patted it, it would move a little bit and then copy what you did with the same force that you did it in, only in reverse. So, if you squished your hand into it, it would twitch and then a "hand" would stretch out of it. I punched it as hard as I could and then moved back as it twitched a little bit. A long form stretched out from the blob, with a fist-like shape at the very top, and then went back down. I patted it next and then watched as it moved a little and then tiny bumps like something was patting it from the inside rippled it's surface. After a while, I got bored and left.

Long blackout.

My step-father, mother, brother, step-sister, and I went to California and, while we were there, visited my biological father, step-mother, and half-brother. My half-brother was really young... in fact, he was still wearing diapers. I played with him for a while before dinner was served... potatoes au gratin. I think we were there for a celebration party... perhaps a birthday or graduation or something... I don't know. There were presents and cards for me and my mother said I could open the cards and separate the presents... they were all taped together with ribbon so that they could be carried easier.

I went upstairs, where the presents were kept, and began to separate them... pulling out the cards as I found them. My half-brother in and we played for a little until he informed me that he had wet his diaper. I brought him downstairs, where everyone was talking in the living room, and told my step-mother. She took him away to change the diaper.

It was really weird seeing both of my families together. They didn't feel any tension... but, for some reason, I did... it was just... odd.

End.
